Welcome to St marys old age home
At St marys old age Home we believe that every stage of life deserves dignity, comfort, and joy.
Our home is more than just a place to stay - it is a family built on love, respect, and care.
We warmly welcome you to a nurturing environment where elders find companionship, support,
and peace of mind. With comfortable living spaces, dedicated caregivers, and a community that
feels like home, we ensure that each day is filled with warmth, happiness, and meaningful
moments.
Whether it’s through health care, recreational activities, or simple everyday conversations, our
goal is to make every resident feel valued and cherished.
Sisters of the Daughters of Mary congregation as part of their philanthropic activities started the ‘Home for the Aged’ at Pilankalai in the year 1992.
In the ever increasing deprivation of aged people due to various changes occurring
in the institution of family, quite a number of poor old people are struggling
for their survival. Their total dependence push them out in to loneliness and lack basic living conditions.
Seeing the pathetic state of these old people, particularly the women,
the religious sisters came forward to provide food and accommodation;
love and care; healing and hope through their Home for the Aged.
As an extension of the house, a small unit consisting 25 women stay at Mathar and function well.
